WORKING AT HEIGHT AND RESCUE (WIND TURBINES) GWO APPROVED

The core health and safety training for anyone required to work in wind turbines, providing
candidates with sufficient knowledge to allow them to work safely. The training includes the elements
of a safe system of work, equipment selection and inspection, use of tools, risk assessment,
emergency procedures, as well as the evacuation and rescue practised at height using industry
standard equipment.

work at height on wind turbines nd understand
Safety requirements when working in / on wind turbines
Requirements of UK and European legislation relevant to wind turbine work activities
Hazards associated with working in / on wind turbines
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Fall protection systems for working in wind turbines
Be able to deal with an emergency situation
Dealing with emergencies in wind turbines

This training course includes the elements of a safe system of work, equipment selection, inspection,

Double twin lanyards
Triple action connectors for twin lanyards
Work positioning lanyards
Full body harnesses
“Fast access” hub/nacelle rescue device
