CAD Lift Planning

Course Aims

By the end of this course, participants will be able to use CAD software to assist in planning lifting operations safely and efficiently.

Course Content

Open and navigate AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
Work effectively within Modelspace and Paperspace environments
Use basic drawing and modification commands
Configure drafting settings and manage layers, blocks, and drawing standards
Produce accurate lift plans representative of site conditions and crane dimensions
Apply correct drawing terminology and maintain drawing registers

Qualifications Obtained

Upon successful completion of this course, candidate will receive an Inhouse Sibbald certificate, valid for 3 years.

This course is suitable for supervisors and managers with responsibility for lifting operations. This course will give you an understanding of the appointed person's responsibilities and how to fulfil them.

On passing the technical tests, you gain the CPCS trained operator card (red card).
